Restore proper blower operation with this Low Limit Thermodisc (80610). Why Choose the 80610 Proof of Fire Thermodisc?
A faulty or incorrect Proof of Fire switch can prevent blowers from running, cause startup failures, or lead to unsafe operation. Replacing it with the OEM 80610 low limit thermodisc restores proper stove logic, ensures the blower engages only after ignition, and protects internal components. Built to factory specifications, this snap disc provides reliable performance and long service life.
Installation Instructions:
Disconnect power to the pellet stove before servicing. Ensure the stove is completely cool.
Access the combustion blower or Proof of Fire switch location according to your stoves service manual.
Disconnect the spade terminals from the existing snap disc. Note wire positions or take a photo before removal.
Remove the mounting screws securing the old thermodisc. Carefully detach it from the mounting surface.
Clean the mounting area to ensure proper contact and accurate temperature sensing.
If required, install an adapter plate if your stove uses wider mounting hole spacing than the new thermodisc.
Position the 80610 snap disc onto the mounting surface and secure it with the original screws or approved replacements.
Reconnect the spade terminals firmly to the new thermodisc.
Restore power and start the stove. Verify that the blower engages only after the stove reaches operating temperature.
Installation tip: Always confirm the thermodisc rating. Installing a switch with the wrong temperature can cause startup issues or unsafe operation.
